India Home Health Care launches professional care for the patient at home – Chennai Online
Chennai, Sep 10: Chennai-based India Home Health Care Pvt. Ltd., today announced the launch of ‘Professional Care For The Patient At Home’ in Chennai. Through this service, India Home Health Care will provide professional nursing and nursing assistance at the home of the patient, with a view to support the medical fraternity both in terms of care and documentation.
The service is launched in association with select hospitals of Chennai in the initial phase and the same will be rolled out to cover all major hospitals of the city and later to Bangalore. National roll out is expected in the next half year.
Briefing newsmen, Mr V Thyagarajan, Director, India Home Health Care Pvt. Ltd., stated that this service is designed to provide post-operative care for the recuperating / convalescent patient, under the direct and immediate supervision of the doctor involved. “Professionally qualified and trained nurses provide personalized attention to the patient and studies worldwide have established that the rate of recovery for a normal and routine patient is faster at home than in a hospital. Besides it saves the patient’s family enormous hassles on logistics of tending to the patient in a hospital. Hence we believe that our service will be eagerly awaited by the patient community as also their families” he said.
Mr Frank Goller, COO, India Home Health Care observed that the singular benefit of this service is that the patient in a recuperative phase is under individualized attention of a trained nurse, the closest alternative to the personal supervision of the doctor himself.
Lt. Col. (Retd.) Ms Ameerunnisa, Home Health Administrator and responsible for the implementation of the service at home, believes that the patients would welcome such a move.
