India Home Health Care, a Chennai-based provider of care services, is expanding services in the South and tying up with corporate sector to offer a range of healthcare assistance.

India Home Health Care provides professional healthcare assistance at home using qualified nurses. It is floated by private promoters with a presence in IT and healthcare.

Tie-ups

Mr Frank Goller, Chief Operation Officer, IHHC, said the company has also tied up with large IT companies and real estate developers to set up first-aid and emergency care services and pre-employment check up in their facilities and large residential complexes that are coming in most major cities. It is present in Chennai and Bangalore and plans to expand its services to Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad in the next six months.

India Home Health Care has set up the first of such facilities at the Shriram Gateway IT special economic zone (SEZ), Mr Goller said.

To reach the corporate clients, it has a subsidiary India Corp Healthcare, and is in discussions with the SriCity SEZ to locate a hospital-on-wheels initially. Mr Goller said it collaborates with leading hospitals in Chennai including Fortis Malar, Hande Hospital, Mehtha Hospital, Billroth and Appaswamy Hospitals.

IHHC has a team of over 150-160 qualified nurses and nursing assistants who provide home healthcare, according to Mr V. Thyagarajan, Director, IHHC, and a promoter. Zymbii Home Healthcare, a US-based service provider, is in technical collaboration for processes and services, he said. IHHC’s staff will work closely with the treating doctor to support the patients, he said.
